4. Switch the main utility breaker on.

The UPS conducts a self-test and enters Standby mode,

indicated by the blinking

indicator.

5. Press the UPS On

button.

The load segments cycle through a startup sequence and the

UPS enters Normal mode.

Testing New Batteries

Press and hold the button for three seconds to initiate a battery test.

After the test is finished, the

indicator should turn off. If the

indicator stays on, check the battery connections. See the Active Alarms

shown onthe front panel. Call your service representative if the

problem persists.

Recycling the Used Batteries

Contact your local recycling or hazardous waste center for information

on proper disposal of the used batteries.

Donot dispose ofbattery orbatteriesina fire.Batteriesmay explode.Proper

disposalof batteriesisrequired.Refer toyourlocalcodesfor disposal

requirements.

Donot open ormutilate the batteryor batteries.Releasedelectrolyte is harmful

to theskin and eyes. It maybe toxic.

Donot discard theUPS orthe batteriesinthe trash.Thisproduct containssealed,

lead-acidbatteriesand must bedisposedof properly. For more information,contact
